The Virginia Early Childhood Foundation and the Library of Virginia have partnered to designate May 11 – June 15, the time period between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, as an opportunity to focus on the unique needs of young children and to recognize that Smart Beginnings Start with Families. The pdf files below are series of 5 short summaries about how schools, libraries, child care providers and healthcare professionals can support families with young children within the community.

St. Philip Preschool (founded in 1964)

Jesus says, “Let the little children come to me.” A part of our mission at St. Philip is to provide multiple opportunities to do just that. Some of those opportunities happen on Sunday, but they also happen through the week through the ministry of our St. Philip preschool.

Our school offers a good environment for a variety of age-appropriate experiences adding to the development of the child. A loving, caring, professional staff works closely with parents to encourage mental, physical, social and spiritual growth of each child.

We work hard to be a place where children might gather to learn, to share, and to love. We are currently accepting applications for enrollment in the fall. If your child, or your neighbor’s child, or your coworker’s child might enjoy such a wonderful opportunity, tell them about our preschool at St. Philip.
