We are a church that rolls up our sleeves and gets to work. St. Philip is a congregation that seeks to connect people one to another in order to live out loving God and loving neighbor.  The congregational life we share develops relationships and friendships, but we live out this life together to be disciples of Christ.

As you connect, expect to grow in faith, to serve God's kingdom, to reach out into the communities around us, and to be active participants in the love of Christ being made known in the world.

Christian Education

Faith Formation (Sunday School) is offered for preschooler through 5th grade each Sunday during worship.  Adult faith formation begins at 9:50a.m. on Sunday mornings.  Youth faith formation is combined with youth groups, meeting on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.  There is no Faith formation in the summer months.  Children's choir meets at 10:00a.m. during Adult faith formation time.

Family Ministry

The Family Ministry provides families of St. Philip with opportunities for fellowship, fun, and service. While the Family Ministry group primarily consists of families with young children, all families of St. Philip and the community are welcome. Throughout the year there are many events. They include family movie nights, the annual Easter egg hunt, outings to Pump-it-Up, collecting canned goods for the food bank, collecting change for our friends in Malawi.  Additionally, families are invited to gather every other month for game playing and faith building.  Regularly check the St. Philip newsletter for dates and times.

St. Philip's Youth are fun, faith-centered, active members of the congregation - loving God and loving neighbors!  Youth Group meets on the first and third Sundays of each month during the school year from 4-5:30pm.  Middle schoolers meet as a group in the middle school youth room and high schoolers as a group in the high school youth room.  Dinner is served for all youth and advisors at 5:30pm.  The youth also gather for summer pool parties, serving at Feeding America food bank, youth retreats, leaf raking, lock-ins and more!  Come join the faithful fun!
Music Ministry
Following the tradition of Martin Luther, music is a very important part of worship. We emphasize the Word in the sung liturgy and hymns. We remember God’s love and grace so freely given through the risen Christ. St. Philip purposefully uses a wide variety of musical genres, instruments, and musicians to worship God in both very traditional and contemporary ways.

The Altar Choir is open to anyone who enjoys singing. Rehearsal is on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. They offer an anthem each Sunday at the 8:30 and 11:00am service. There are also solos, duets and trios during the year.

St. Philip Praise Band leads worship every third Sunday of the month and rehearses on Thursdays at 7pm.

The practice of hospitality is one of the most enjoyable of Christian disciplines.  CAFE happens on Sunday mornings from 9:45am until 10:20am.  There are plenty of good things to eat, drinks to enjoy, and most importantly connections to happen and relationships to nourish.  Cafe takes place in the fellowship hall.
