“ The True light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.” John 1:9
“Again Jesus spoke to them, ‘I am the light of the world.’” Luke 8:12a
We know that Jesus is the light of the world – but we can remember this light by being good stewards of God’s creation with the lights in our homes. Compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) use about one-fourth the electricity of a conventional bulb – and it lasts about 10 times as long. You can save money on your electric bill (up to $6 a year by replacing just one bulb with a CFL, according to Appalachian Power). But, more importantly, you can be a better steward of God’s creation! So, let there be light! Merry Christmas!
